The KwaZulu Natal regions was launched at the 2nd national meeting held in Durban in 2007, with the first regional meeting being held in 2008, where Jeeny James was electected chairperson. In 2011, at the second regional meeting, Helen Loudon was elected chairperson, and remained in office until 2012 when Chantal Huggins was elected.
